The SBE4512 is a 45-degree quick-connect brass elbow fitting designed for use in HVAC refrigerant line assemblies. Built with a C3771 brass body and polycarbonate components, this fitting allows field technicians to make secure, leak-tight connections without brazing, nitrogen purge, or specialty tools. It measures 0.500 inches at the connection size with a 1.339-inch outside diameter and a 3/4-16 UNF connection thread. The fitting is rated to a maximum working pressure of 870 PSI and a minimum burst pressure of 3,600 PSI, making it suitable for demanding refrigerant system service work. Licensed HVAC technicians and refrigeration mechanics are the primary installers.

This fitting is approved for use with hard drawn copper tubing in sizes 1/4 through 7/8 inch, type ACR, M, L, and K. It is also approved for hard soft copper (annealed) in sizes 1/4 through 7/8 inch, type ACR, L, and K. Typical applications include residential and light commercial HVAC refrigerant line sets where a 45-degree directional change is required and field brazing is not practical or permitted. The chloroprene O-ring seals the connection across a temperature range of -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F, covering the full span of standard refrigerant system operating conditions.

Installation Notes
