The SATCO-NUVO T8-U6G-SD-HYB is a hybrid Type A/B LED linear tube designed to replace 32W fluorescent T8 lamps in commercial and light-industrial lighting systems. It offers three selectable wattage settings (11.5W, 13W, and 15W) and a five-position CCT switch covering 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, 5000K, and 6500K, letting electricians dial in output and color temperature before installation without stocking multiple SKUs. At 15W, the tube delivers up to 2,200 lumens at efficacy levels reaching 157 lumens per watt. The 50,000-hour L70 lifespan is rated per IES LM-80 methodology. Licensed electricians and qualified lighting contractors are the primary installers.
This tube is suited for retrofitting commercial fluorescent fixtures in offices, warehouses, retail spaces, schools, and similar applications. As a Type A installation, it operates plug-and-play on most common commercial instant-start T8 electronic ballasts, requiring no rewiring. As a Type B installation, it wires directly to line voltage from 120 to 277 volts using either a single-ended or double-ended wiring method, eliminating ballast dependency entirely. It is compatible with both shunted and non-shunted lamp sockets, covering the widest range of existing fixture hardware. It is a direct replacement for F32T8/32W, F32T8/30W, F32T8/28W, and F32T8/25W fluorescent lamps.
Direct replacement for F32T8/32W, F32T8/30W, F32T8/28W, and F32T8/25W fluorescent lamps. Type A mode is plug-and-play compatible with most common commercial instant-start T8 electronic ballasts. Type B mode supports direct line-voltage wiring to 120-277V with both shunted and non-shunted sockets.
A licensed electrician should perform all Type B direct-wire conversions in accordance with NEC requirements and any applicable local electrical codes. Always de-energize the fixture and verify absence of voltage before handling lamp sockets or rewiring. In Type B double-ended wiring, ensure both ends of the tombstone are properly terminated per the lamp wiring diagram. Type A ballast-compatible installations require no rewiring but should confirm ballast compatibility before deployment across a large fixture inventory.
