The SATCO-NUVO S8930 is a 40-watt LED hi-lumen omni-directional lamp built for commercial fixture applications. It operates across a wide input voltage range of 100 to 277 volts, making it compatible with a broad range of commercial electrical systems without rewiring for specific voltage. The lamp produces a 5000K daylight color temperature suited to warehouses, retail spaces, parking structures, and other commercial environments where high-visibility, cool-toned light is preferred. It is designed for horizontal operation and requires Type B ballast bypass wiring, meaning the existing ballast must be removed and the fixture rewired to connect the lamp directly to line voltage. Installation is performed by licensed electricians.
This lamp is intended for commercial and industrial fixture applications where a direct line-voltage LED retrofit is needed. The Type B ballast bypass configuration eliminates the ballast from the circuit entirely, reducing a common point of failure and improving long-term system reliability. The mogul base fits standard mogul-socket fixtures commonly found in high-bay and commercial lighting applications. The omni-directional light distribution supports applications where wide, even illumination is required across a space.
Designed as a Type B ballast bypass LED replacement for commercial mogul-base fixtures operating on 100 to 277 volt single-phase systems. Horizontal operation rating must be confirmed against fixture orientation before installation.
Type B ballast bypass lamps require a licensed electrician to disconnect and remove the existing ballast and rewire the fixture for direct line-voltage operation before the lamp is installed. Always shut off and lock out the circuit at the breaker before beginning any fixture rewiring. Work must comply with applicable NEC requirements for luminaire retrofit and branch-circuit wiring. Do not install this lamp in a fixture that still has an active ballast in the circuit.
