The SATCO-NUVO S28691 is a 13-watt T5 LED lamp built for direct-wire ballast bypass installations in commercial and residential settings. It operates on 120 to 277 volts without a ballast or external driver, drawing 13 watts while delivering 1,650 lumens of 4000K cool white light. The frosted white finish diffuses output evenly across the fixture. Rated for 50,000 average hours of service life, this lamp reduces both energy consumption and maintenance intervals compared to fluorescent T5 sources. The miniature bi-pin base fits standard T5 fluorescent sockets, and the Type B design supports single-ended or double-ended wiring configurations to suit different fixture layouts.
This lamp is suited for linear fluorescent fixture retrofits in offices, retail spaces, kitchens, hallways, and light commercial environments. It is intended for installations where the existing ballast is being removed and the fixture is rewired for direct line voltage. The wide input voltage range of 120 to 277 volts makes it compatible with both standard residential circuits and commercial 277-volt lighting branch circuits, reducing the need to stock multiple SKUs for different facility types.
Designed as a direct-wire ballast bypass replacement for T5 fluorescent fixtures using a miniature bi-pin base. Ballast must be removed and fixture rewired prior to installation.
Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code and all applicable local codes. De-energize the circuit at the breaker before beginning any wiring work and verify the absence of voltage with a meter. The ballast must be completely removed and the fixture rewired to pass line voltage directly to the lamp sockets. Confirm the wiring configuration matches the single-ended or double-ended pinout of the fixture before energizing.
