The SATCO-NUVO S18413 is a wattage-selectable and CCT-selectable T8 U-Bend LED lamp designed to retrofit existing fluorescent U-Bend fixtures in commercial and institutional settings. The lamp operates at 11.5, 13, or 15 watts and supports five color temperature settings spanning 3000K through 6500K, giving installers full control over both light output and color appearance from a single SKU. It runs on a wide voltage range of 120 to 277 volts and features a 6-inch leg spacing with a frost finish diffuser. Full glass housing resists yellowing and bending over time, reducing replacement frequency and overall maintenance costs.
This lamp is suited for drop-ceiling troffers and industrial fixtures commonly found in offices, schools, retail spaces, food service facilities, and healthcare environments. The Type A/B dual-mode design supports both ballast-compatible operation and direct line-voltage ballast bypass, allowing the installer to work with the existing ballast or rewire the fixture for a fully LED-direct circuit. The mercury-free construction and NSF listing make it appropriate for food service and healthcare applications where environmental and safety compliance is required.
Designed as an OEM-style retrofit replacement for standard T8 fluorescent U-Bend lamps with 6-inch leg spacing in commercial troffer and industrial fixtures. Type A mode operates with compatible existing fluorescent ballasts; Type B mode requires ballast bypass wiring for direct line-voltage operation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize the fixture at the circuit breaker and verify absence of voltage before handling any wiring. When performing ballast bypass for Type B operation, remove or disable the existing ballast and follow the lamp manufacturer wiring diagram for direct line-voltage connection. Confirm the selected wattage and CCT switch positions are set before restoring power and closing the fixture.
