The SARGENT 6300-LE-15 is a permanent large format interchangeable core (LFIC) cylinder designed for commercial and institutional access control applications. This 6-pin core features the LE keyway and ships in a 619/US15 satin nickel finish. It arrives 1-bitted, meaning it is ready for field keying by a licensed locksmith or security technician. Two nickel silver change keys are included. The core uses a dedicated control key (model 6272 CTL, ordered separately) to release the internal locking cam, allowing the core to be removed from the lock body without pulling the hardware from the door.
This core is suited for commercial buildings, institutional facilities, and multi-tenant properties where rapid rekeying without door hardware removal is required. Compatible host products in the SARGENT line include exit devices, mortise locks, bored locks, and padlocks that accept large format interchangeable cores. The 6300 series also integrates into master key and grand-master key systems, and conventional cylinders keyed to the same master change keys can be mixed into the same system when the quick-change feature is not needed at every opening.
Designed for use in SARGENT exit devices, mortise locks, bored locks, and padlocks that accept large format interchangeable cores. Can be integrated with conventional cylinders operating under the same master or change keys within a SARGENT LFIC key system.
Installation and field keying should be performed by a licensed locksmith or qualified security hardware technician. Before servicing any opening, verify the door is in a safe-to-service state and coordinate access with building management to avoid lockouts. The control key (6272 CTL) must be used to insert or remove the core; never attempt to force the core without the control key, as this can damage the locking cam. Consult the applicable SARGENT installation documentation and local building security codes before deploying in life-safety or egress hardware.
