The SANDVIK COROMANT 8037564 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a 3/8-inch diameter, 1-inch length of cut, and a 1/8-inch (0.1250-inch) corner radius, this single-end, centercutting tool removes material efficiently while protecting workpiece edges from stress concentrations. A ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating reduces friction and extends tool life in non-ferrous and mixed-material cuts. The 3-flute, right-hand spiral geometry with variable helix and variable index angles reduces chatter and improves surface finish at higher feed rates. Overall length is 2-1/2 inches with a 3/8-inch straight cylindrical shank.
This end mill is suited for peripheral and slot milling operations in CNC machining centers and manual mills. It performs well in materials classified under grade N1BZ, which typically includes aluminum alloys and other non-ferrous metals. The CoroMill Dura series targets applications where consistent edge life and dimensional accuracy are priorities. It is most commonly installed by machinists, tool-and-die professionals, and CNC operators in job shop and production environments where tight tolerances and clean corner radii are required on finished parts.
Part of the SANDVIK COROMANT CoroMill Dura series, rated for material grade N1BZ. Designed as an OEM replacement-style solid carbide corner radius end mill for use in standard 3/8-inch collet or end mill holders on CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder that matches the 3/8-inch shank diameter and torque the retention mechanism to the machine manufacturer's specification. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for chips or damage before each use, and verify runout with a dial indicator after seating to maintain dimensional accuracy.
