The SANDVIK COROMANT 8037562 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. With a 3/8 inch cutting diameter and a 0.06 inch corner radius, this single-end mill produces smooth, radiused corners while reducing stress concentrations at part edges. The 3-flute geometry supports efficient chip evacuation, and the ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating improves wear resistance and surface finish performance. Variable helix and variable index design help reduce chatter and vibration during cut. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this tool in vertical or horizontal machining centers for profiling, slotting, and contouring work.
This end mill is suited for milling non-ferrous metals and other materials within the N1BZ material grade classification, which covers aluminum alloys and similar workpiece materials. With a 1 inch length of cut and 2.5 inch overall length, it fits standard toolholding systems accepting a 3/8 inch straight cylindrical shank. The CoroMill Dura series designation indicates it is engineered for durability in demanding cutting conditions. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry into workpieces without a pre-drilled hole.

Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer is in a safe state before loading or unloading the end mill. Verify toolholder runout and clamping torque per the toolholder manufacturer specifications before beginning a cut. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or coating damage prior to use, and never exceed the recommended depth of cut or feed rate for the workpiece material.
