The SANDVIK COROMANT 8037335 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precise milling operations in demanding machining environments. With a 1/8 inch cutting diameter and a 1/2 inch length of cut, this tool handles slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in a compact form factor. The three-flute geometry combined with a variable helix and variable index design reduces harmonic vibration during cutting, improving surface finish and tool life. At 2 inches overall length with a 1/8 inch shank, it mounts directly into standard collet chucks and end mill holders. It carries no coating, presenting a bright finish suited to non-ferrous and ferrous materials where uncoated carbide performs well.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where small-diameter, high-precision cuts are required. The CoroMill Dura series targets general-purpose milling applications across a range of workpiece materials. Its right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC setups. The centercutting capability allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece, adding versatility for pocket milling operations. Machinists working in aerospace, mold and die, and general precision part production will find this tool appropriate for finish and semi-finish passes in tight geometries.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill fitting standard 1/8 inch collet chucks and end mill holders used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder rated for 1/8 inch shank diameter, and verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning cuts. Follow the tool manufacturer and machine builder guidelines for speed and feed parameters appropriate to the workpiece material.
