The SANDVIK COROMANT 8036887 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metalworking applications. With a 0.75 inch mill diameter and a 0.25 inch corner radius, this tool is built to produce accurate corner profiles while reducing stress concentrations at part edges. The AlTiN coating extends tool life at elevated cutting temperatures, making it well suited for ferrous alloys and hardened steels. Part of the CoroMill Dura series, this end mill features a variable helix and variable index geometry that help suppress vibration and chatter during aggressive cuts. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling professionals in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is intended for use in vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers as well as manual milling machines capable of holding a 0.75 inch straight-cylindrical shank. The 3.25 inch length of cut and 6 inch overall length support deep-cavity milling and long-reach profiling operations. The five-flute, right-hand spiral configuration with centercutting capability allows both peripheral and plunge milling. It is applicable in aerospace, die-mold, and general precision machining where consistent corner geometry and surface finish are required.
Designed as an OEM CoroMill Dura series solid carbide corner radius end mill with a 0.75 inch straight-cylindrical shank, compatible with standard ER and side-lock toolholders sized for 0.75 inch shank diameters on CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool-change mode is engaged before inserting or removing the end mill. Use a properly sized collet or toolholder that matches the 0.75 inch shank diameter and achieve adequate gauge-length engagement per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for damage before each use, and do not exceed the machine or toolholder rated runout tolerance.
