The SANDVIK COROMANT 8035567 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill from the CoroMill Dura series, designed for high-performance milling in demanding shop environments. With a 1/8 inch cutting diameter, a 0.013 inch corner radius, and an AlTiN coating, this tool handles abrasive and hard workpiece materials while resisting heat buildup at the cutting edge. The 3-flute geometry supports chip evacuation in tight pockets and along contoured surfaces. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard. Variable helix and variable index angles reduce chatter and harmonic vibration during aggressive cuts. Machinists and CNC tooling technicians install this tool in precision machining centers and high-speed milling applications.
This end mill fits residential and commercial machine shop environments where tight-tolerance work is required. The 3/8 inch length of cut and 1-1/2 inch overall length make it well suited for shallow pocket milling, profiling, and contouring operations. The centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece. Single-end configuration means the tool is replaced rather than reindexed when worn. Applications include die and mold work, aerospace component machining, and general precision part manufacturing where corner geometry and surface finish tolerances are critical.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide end mill for use in standard 1/8 inch collet or end mill holder systems on CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped for small-diameter tooling.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder rated for 1/8 inch shank diameter and torque the retention hardware per the machine tool manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before production cutting to protect the small-diameter tool from deflection and breakage.
