The insert is CVD-coated with a multilayer Al2O3, TiCN, and TiN stack and carries manufacturer grade 4425, making it suited for productive turning on steel and cast iron workpieces. The UR chip breaker geometry controls chip flow across a range of depths and feed rates. Two cutting edges per insert are available before the insert is indexed or replaced.
