Built from solid carbide with a CVD-applied TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN multilayer coating, it delivers high wear resistance with adequate toughness for steel and cast iron machining. The insert features a 55-degree diamond (rhombic) shape, a 0.5 inch inscribed circle, a 0.79 mm corner radius, and a neutral hand orientation. The PM chip breaker geometry is rated for roughing and medium machining operations, making this insert a practical choice for production turning where consistent chip control and edge life are priorities.
This insert is suited for roughing and medium machining passes on steel and cast iron workpieces in both production and job-shop environments.
