The SANDVIK COROMANT 7860464 is a VNMG-style indexable turning insert from the T-Max P series, designed for external turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It features a 35-degree diamond shape (V-style) with a neutral hand orientation and a 3/8-inch inscribed circle. The insert is manufactured from carbide substrate and coated via CVD with a multilayer Al2O3, TiCN, and TiN stack, targeting long tool life and heat resistance at the cutting zone. The PF chip breaker geometry supports controlled chip formation during finishing and light roughing passes. Installation Notes
