The SANDVIK COROMANT 7860429 is a VBMT331-PF 4415 grade solid carbide turning insert from the CoroTurn 107 series. It features a 35-degree diamond shape (V) with a 3/8-inch inscribed circle and a 0.40 mm (0.0156 inch) corner radius. The insert is CVD-coated with Al2O3, TiN, and TiCN layers, and carries a neutral hand orientation. With a 5-degree relief angle and a PF chip breaker geometry, it is suited for precision turning operations where controlled chip formation and surface finish are priorities. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary installers of this insert type.

This insert is designed primarily for turning steel (ISO P) and secondary for cast iron (ISO K) workpieces on CNC lathes and turning centers.
