The SANDVIK COROMANT 7859085 is a CCMT-style turning insert from the CoroTurn 107 series, designed for external and internal turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. This solid carbide insert carries a multilayer CVD coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN, manufacturer grade 4415, which delivers wear resistance and thermal stability across a range of cutting conditions. The diamond-shaped insert features an 80-degree included angle, a 9.53 mm inscribed circle, and a 0.4 mm corner radius. The UM chip breaker geometry is engineered for controlled chip formation during medium to finish turning. Installation is performed by qualified machinists and CNC programmers on production and job-shop turning equipment.

This insert is suited for medium to finish turning of steel and cast iron workpieces, corresponding to ISO material groups P (steel) and K (cast iron). Installation Notes
