The SANDVIK COROMANT 7564623 is a round solid carbide milling insert in the RCKT series, designed for indexable face and shoulder milling operations on steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. It carries a triple-layer CVD coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN, corresponding to manufacturer grade 4340 and material grades P40, M40, and K40. The insert measures 0.75 inches in diameter (inscribed circle) and 0.25 inches thick, with a positive rake geometry and a rounded cutting edge style. With 8 usable cutting edges per insert and a neutral hand orientation, it suits high-productivity milling programs where insert economy matters. Licensed machinists and CNC toolroom technicians are the primary installers.
This insert is engineered for milling applications on workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. It fits the RA200 cutter series and uses a screw holding method. The PH chip breaker geometry supports stable chip control across moderate to aggressive depths of cut, with a maximum depth of cut of 0.1098 inches. It is suited for both roughing and semi-finishing passes on production milling centers in job shop, aerospace, and general metalworking environments. The single-sided insert design ensures consistent seating and repeatable edge indexing.
Designed for use with the SANDVIK COROMANT RA200 cutter series. Insert conforms to ANSI and ISO standard geometry RCKT 19 06 00-PH 4340. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, and cast iron workpiece materials (material application codes P, M, K).
Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or toolroom technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key as specified by the cutter body manufacturer to seat the screw-held insert firmly without overtightening. Inspect the cutter pocket and seating surface for debris or damage before installing a new insert to ensure proper edge geometry and runout.
