The SANDVIK COROMANT 7564460 is a square, single-sided solid carbide milling insert designed for use in R210 series face and shoulder milling cutters. Manufactured to grade 4330 with a CVD-applied TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN multilayer coating, this insert is engineered for productive cutting in steel and cast iron applications. It carries a positive rake angle of 10 degrees and features a corner-rounded cutting edge style with a 1.40 mm corner radius. With 4 usable cutting edges per insert and a neutral hand orientation, it delivers consistent performance across typical roughing and semi-finishing passes. Installed by machinists and CNC tooling technicians, it seats securely via screw clamping in compatible R210 toolholders.
This insert is suited for milling operations on steel and cast iron workpieces in both production shop and job shop environments. Typical applications include face milling, shoulder milling, and side milling where reliable chip evacuation and edge stability are required. The PM chip breaker geometry supports controlled chip formation over a range of depths and feed rates. This insert conforms to ANSI and ISO standards under code R210-14 05 14E-PM 4330, making it straightforward to cross-reference against tooling schedules and insert catalogs.
Designed for use with R210 series milling cutters. ANSI and ISO insert code R210-14 05 14E-PM 4330 and insert size code 140514 identify compatible toolholder pockets. Primary workpiece material grades P30, M30, and K30 correspond to steel and cast iron material groups per ISO classification.
Insert installation and replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician with the spindle at a full stop and machine in a locked-out, tagged-out state. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key to torque the clamping screw per the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Inspect the insert pocket seat and clamping screw threads for wear or debris before seating a new insert. Handle carbide inserts carefully to avoid chipping edges prior to use.
