The SANDVIK COROMANT 7564443 is a square solid carbide milling insert in the R245 series, designed for face milling and shoulder milling operations in metalworking environments. Manufactured to grade 4330, the insert features a triple-layer CVD coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN that promotes wear resistance and thermal stability at the cutting edge. It carries an inscribed circle of 18.00 mm (0.7087 inches), a thickness of 6.10 mm (0.2402 inches), and a corner radius of 1.00 mm (0.0394 inches). With 4 cutting edges and a positive rake angle of 10 degrees, this insert is suited for productive, efficient metal removal. Installation and tool changes are performed by licensed machinists and CNC operators working with compatible R245 cutter bodies.
This insert is intended for machining steel and cast iron workpieces, corresponding to ISO material application codes P and K, as well as material grades P30, M30, and K30. The right-hand, single-sided insert delivers a maximum depth of cut of 9.75 mm (0.3839 inches) and uses a screw-type holding method. The chip breaker style is PM, and the cutting edge geometry is corner rounded with an included angle of 90 degrees. It is applicable across a range of production and job-shop milling scenarios where consistent tool life and surface finish on ferrous materials are priorities.
Designed for use with R245 series cutter bodies. ANSI and ISO designation R245-18 T6 M-PM 4330. Insert size code 18T6. Compatible with steel and cast iron workpiece materials per ISO material application codes P and K.
Insert changes should be performed by qualified machinists with the machine spindle fully stopped and all energy sources locked out per applicable LOTO procedures. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key as specified by the cutter body manufacturer when seating the crew-clamped insert. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surfaces for chips or contamination before indexing. Do not exceed the cutter body manufacturer-specified maximum spindle speed or feed rate for this insert size.
