The SANDVIK COROMANT 7231326 is a CVD-coated carbide turning insert in the CNMG432-MM configuration, part of the T-Max P series. It carries a multilayer TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN coating applied by CVD for wear resistance and thermal stability during continuous and interrupted cuts. The insert features an 80-degree diamond shape with a neutral hand orientation, a 1/2-inch inscribed circle, and a 1/32-inch corner radius. The MM chip breaker geometry is engineered for effective chip control. This insert is installed by CNC machinists and toolroom technicians on turning centers and lathes.

This insert is designed primarily for turning stainless steel and other ISO M-group workpiece materials, where edge toughness and coating integrity are critical.
