The SANDVIK COROMANT 7045782 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill designed for precision material removal in demanding machining applications. Built to the 1P330 series spec, it features a 0.25-inch diameter with a 0.422-inch length of cut and a 45-degree chamfer angle at the corner. The TiAlN PVD coating resists heat and wear, making it suitable for high-speed cutting in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and superalloys including titanium. Installed by machinists and tooling professionals in CNC milling operations, this single-end mill delivers consistent chamfer geometry and edge integrity across roughing and finishing passes.
This end mill is suited for short-reach milling operations where edge chamfering and corner protection are required in one pass. The 0.004-inch chamfer width at 45 degrees creates a clean, controlled break on workpiece edges without a secondary deburring step. With a right-hand flute direction, right-hand cutting action, and high-helix helical flutes at 45 degrees, it promotes efficient chip evacuation in steel and stainless steel applications. The straight-cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance fits standard collet and end mill holders. No coolant-through feature; flood or mist coolant is applied externally during use.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and milling machines accepting a 0.25-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Rated for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and superalloys including titanium. Material codes P, M, K, N, and S per the ISO workpiece material classification. Catalog reference 1P330-0635-XA, material grade 1620.
Installation is performed by a machinist or tooling technician. Secure the shank in a precision collet or end mill holder to the correct torque specification for the holder type in use. Confirm runout at the tool tip before cutting. No coolant-through passages are present; apply flood or mist coolant externally at the cutting zone. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and tooling manufacturer feed and speed recommendations for the specific workpiece material and depth of cut.
