The SANDVIK COROMANT 6851266 is a solid carbide, uncoated turning insert designed for precision metal-cutting operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Designated CNGG43.30-SGF H13A, this insert features an 80-degree diamond shape (CNGG style) with a neutral hand orientation and a sharp cutting edge style. The SGF chip breaker geometry and H13A uncoated carbide grade make it well-suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes where edge sharpness and surface finish quality are critical. It carries a 0.10 mm corner radius and seats in standard clamp-and-pin toolholders. Installation is performed by qualified machinists and CNC operators familiar with indexable insert tooling.
This insert is primarily intended for turning stainless steel (ISO material code M) and is also rated for superalloys and titanium (ISO material code S). These are demanding workpiece materials that require a sharp, uncoated carbide edge to minimize built-up edge and work hardening. The T-Max P series geometry is engineered for external and internal turning applications in production and job-shop environments. The insert is sold individually, with a minimum order quantity of 10 units, making it appropriate for shops that rotate inserts frequently or run high-volume stainless and superalloy programs.
Designed for use in T-Max P series clamp-and-pin toolholders accepting CNGG-style inserts with a 1/2-inch inscribed circle. ISO designation CNGG 12 04 01-SGF H13A. Compatible primary workpiece material is stainless steel (ISO M); secondary workpiece materials include superalloys and titanium (ISO S).
Insert indexing and replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, locked-out state. Use the correct torque wrench and clamping hardware specified by the toolholder manufacturer to seat the insert securely against the pocket surfaces. Inspect the insert pocket and locating pin for wear or debris before seating a new insert. Do not attempt to regrind or modify uncoated carbide inserts.
