The SANDVIK COROMANT 6536296 is a square, solid carbide milling insert in the 495 series, designed for face and shoulder milling operations on steel and stainless steel. It carries a TiAlN coating applied by PVD process, which improves heat resistance and wear life at the cutting edge. The insert is neutral-hand, single-sided, and features four usable cutting edges, each ground to a corner radius of 0.80 mm (0.0315 inches). With a positive rake angle of 20 degrees and an ML chip breaker geometry, it is suited for light-to-medium roughing and finishing passes in P and M material grades.

This insert fits 495-series milling cutter bodies and is intended for use in CNC machining centers and milling machines in production and job-shop environments.
