The SANDVIK COROMANT 6334786 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for high-precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. Part of the CoroMill Plura Series 1B231, this single-end tool features a 0.0625 inch mill diameter and a 0.125 inch length of cut, making it well suited for fine detail work, contouring, and tight-radius profiling. The TiAlN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection during both roughing and finishing passes. With a 30-degree medium helix and two right-hand helical flutes, the tool delivers controlled chip evacuation and stable cutting performance. Installation and operation are typically handled by CNC machining professionals and skilled manual machinists.
This ball end mill is built for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium workpieces, covering ISO material groups P, M, K, and S. It handles both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool, which reduces setup changes on CNC machining centers and manual mills. The 0.25 inch straight-cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance provides secure toolholder engagement. The 3.0 inch overall length offers adequate reach for most standard milling applications without excessive overhang. The mill diameter is held to h9 tolerance for consistent fit and repeatable cutting results.
Designed for use in standard straight-bore toolholders accepting a 0.25 inch cylindrical shank. Suitable for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines capable of high-speed cutting in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before loading or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully in the toolholder and torque the retention hardware to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, especially given the small mill diameter.
