The SANDVIK COROMANT 6260126 is a solid carbide corner chamfer end mill engineered for demanding material removal in stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. Built on the Series 2P341 platform, it features a 12 mm cutting diameter, a 26 mm length of cut, and a TiAlN multilayer PVD coating that supports elevated cutting temperatures and extended tool life. With four helical flutes, right-hand cutting direction, and a centercutting geometry, this end mill handles both plunge and lateral cuts. It is installed in a straight-cylindrical shank toolholder and is specified for roughing applications where material toughness and heat resistance are primary concerns.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers handling high-strength workpiece materials including austenitic and duplex stainless steels, nickel-based superalloys, and titanium alloys. The long-length flute configuration and normal pitch make it appropriate for applications where extended reach into a feature is required. Typical installation scenarios include aerospace component machining, medical device manufacturing, and energy sector part production where tight tolerances and difficult materials are the norm. A licensed machinist or CNC operator familiar with high-performance carbide tooling should specify feeds and speeds appropriate to the workpiece material and machine rigidity.
Designed for use with a compatible straight-bore cylindrical toolholder. Primary workpiece materials are stainless steel (ISO material code M) and superalloys and titanium (ISO material code S). Part of the SANDVIK COROMANT Series 2P341 end mill family.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is clean and undamaged before seating the shank. Confirm runout is within acceptable limits after clamping, as excess runout accelerates edge wear in carbide tooling. Follow the machine builder and tooling manufacturer guidelines for clamping torque and minimum shank engagement depth.
