The SANDVIK COROMANT 6010124 is a replaceable groove milling tip designed for use in CoroMill 327 series milling systems. Manufactured from solid carbide with a PVD-applied TiAlN and TiN coating, this tip delivers consistent performance in demanding groove and slot milling operations. With a 34.69mm (1.3661 inch) cutting diameter, six flutes, and a maximum depth of cut of 10mm (0.3937 inches), it is engineered for high material removal rates across a broad range of workpiece materials. It is installed by machinists and CNC tooling technicians as a direct replaceable insert in compatible CoroMill 327 toolholders.
This tip is suited for groove milling applications across multiple material groups including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium. Typical applications include full-width slotting, groove profiling, and shoulder milling on CNC machining centers in both production and job-shop environments. The 90-degree lead angle and right-hand cutting orientation make it appropriate for standard vertical and horizontal milling setups. Material grades supported range from P10 through P30, M10 through M20, S10 through S20, and N10 through N20, covering a wide variety of cutting conditions.
Designed for use in SANDVIK COROMANT CoroMill 327 series toolholders. The insert size designation is R14-35 30002, and the full tip description is 327R14-35 30002-GMM 1025. Verify toolholder compatibility against SANDVIK COROMANT CoroMill 327 documentation before installation.
Installation of replaceable milling tips should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians with the machine powered down and locked out per facility lockout/tagout procedures. Use the correct torque wrench and SANDVIK COROMANT-specified seating tools to avoid damaging the tip pocket or clamping mechanism. Inspect the toolholder pocket for wear, debris, or damage before seating a new tip. Do not exceed the maximum depth of cut or recommended feed rates for the selected workpiece material grade.
