The SANDVIK COROMANT 6010095 is a replaceable milling tip designed for use in Sandvik Coromant 327 series milling systems. Built from solid carbide and finished with a PVD-applied TiAlN and TiN coating, this insert handles demanding material removal in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and superalloys including titanium. It features a 0.6968 inch cutting diameter, a maximum depth of cut of 0.1378 inches, and a six-flute configuration that supports stable chip evacuation at high feed rates. The right-hand cut geometry and 90-degree lead angle make it suitable for shoulder milling and groove operations where precision wall definition is required.
This tip is intended for use in CNC machining centers, milling machines, and turning centers equipped with compatible 327 series toolholders. It is suited for production environments where replaceable-tip tooling reduces changeover time compared to solid end mills. Typical applications include grooving, face milling, and shoulder milling on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces across a broad range of material grades including P10, P20, P30, M10, M20, S10, S20, N10, and N20. The common chipbreaker geometry supports general-purpose cutting across these material classes.
Designed for use with SANDVIK COROMANT 327 series milling toolholders. Insert size designation is R09-18 15001. Manufacturer grade 1025 with full insert description 327R09-18 15001-GMM 1025. Conforms to ANSI standards.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician familiar with replaceable-tip milling systems. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before seating or removing the tip. Confirm the mating toolholder seating surfaces are clean and free of chips or debris before installation, as contamination affects runout and tip seating accuracy. Follow the toolholder manufacturer torque specifications for the clamping screw.
