The SANDVIK COROMANT 5915050 is a solid carbide, uncoated turning insert in the CNMG432-SM H13A designation, part of the T-Max P series. It features an 80-degree diamond insert shape (shape code C), a 1/2-inch inscribed circle, a 1/32-inch corner radius, and a neutral hand orientation. The H13A carbide grade and SM chip breaker geometry are engineered for stable, controlled cutting action in demanding material groups. With four usable cutting edges and a clamp-and-pin holding method, this insert delivers consistent performance in precision turning operations on difficult-to-machine materials.
This insert is designed for turning applications in stainless steel (ISO material group M) as the primary workpiece material, with secondary suitability for superalloys and titanium (ISO material group S). The SM chip breaker geometry supports medium-depth finishing and semi-finishing passes where chip control and edge stability are critical.
