The SANDVIK COROMANT 5764311 is a modular turning profiling head designed for internal turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Part of the T-Max P series, this left-hand cutting head features a Size 32 system with a 38 mm (1.4961 inches) head length projection and a neck diameter of 32 mm (1.2598 inches). It accepts CNMG 120408 inserts held by a wedge clamping method and includes through-coolant capability for improved chip evacuation and tool life in demanding bore profiling applications. Licensed machinists and CNC turning specialists are the primary installers of this tooling component.
This profiling head is suited for internal bore turning and profiling in both production and job-shop environments. The minimum hole diameter supported is 40 mm (1.5748 inches), with a maximum hole depth of 38 mm (1.4961 inches), making it appropriate for moderate-depth internal features. The center-to-cutting-edge distance is 22 mm (0.8661 inches). It connects via a Head Connection Size 40 interface, consistent with the modular T-Max P tooling system. Applications include finishing and semi-finishing passes on ferrous and non-ferrous bore profiles where precise insert positioning and coolant delivery are required.
Compatible with CNMG 120408 inserts. Designed for use within the SANDVIK COROMANT T-Max P modular turning system using a Head Connection Size 40 interface.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle and turret are fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before mounting or removing the profiling head. Torque the modular connection according to the T-Max P system assembly documentation supplied by SANDVIK COROMANT. Verify coolant port alignment when connecting through-coolant lines to maintain proper flow during cutting.
