The SANDVIK COROMANT 5756012 is a ceramic turning insert designed for precision metal cutting in demanding machining applications. Manufactured to the VNGA332S0625 insert designation, this grade 6050 insert features a titanium nitride (TiN) coating applied via PVD process, delivering improved wear resistance and edge retention on hard materials. The diamond-shaped insert body carries a 35-degree included angle and a 0.0313-inch corner radius. With four available cutting edges and a neutral hand orientation, it fits a wide range of turning tool holders in the T-Max P series. Machinists and tooling specialists working with hard workpiece materials specify this insert for its consistent performance and ceramic substrate properties.
This insert is suited for hard turning applications in production and job-shop environments where ceramic tooling is required to maintain surface finish and dimensional accuracy. The VNGA style and T-Max P series designation make it a direct fit for compatible Sandvik Coromant and compatible T-Max P tool holders used on CNC lathes and turning centers. Primary workpiece material classification is H (hard materials), making it applicable for hardened steels and similar difficult-to-machine alloys. Sold individually per package with a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
Designed for use with T-Max P series turning tool holders compatible with VNGA-style inserts. ISO designation VNGA160408S01525 6050 can be used for cross-reference with equivalent tooling systems.
Insert indexing and replacement should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians with the machine in a fully stopped and locked-out state. Use the appropriate torque wrench and Sandvik Coromant-specified clamping hardware when seating the insert to ensure proper clamp and pin retention. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for debris or wear before installing a new insert. Follow the tool holder manufacturer guidelines for clamp torque and insert seating to prevent edge chipping or premature failure.
