The SANDVIK COROMANT 5755467 is a solid carbide triangular milling insert designed for precision metal removal in milling applications. Carrying the TPMN 16 03 08 235 235 designation under ANSI code TPM 322 235, this single-sided insert features a CVD-applied TiCN and TiN multilayer coating that extends wear resistance and thermal stability at the cutting edge. The neutral-hand, positive-rake geometry delivers a 60-degree included angle with a rounded cutting edge style and a corner radius of 0.0315 inches. Three usable cutting edges per insert are available before replacement. The insert mounts via a clamp-style holding method and carries a flat-top chip breaker design suited to controlled chip evacuation in ferrous machining environments.
This insert is intended for milling of steel and stainless steel workpieces, covering primary workpiece material codes P and M per ISO designation. It is compatible with the RTBAP, CTFPL, and CTFPR cutter series. Typical applications include face milling, shoulder milling, and similar operations where consistent surface finish and predictable tool life are required. Licensed machinists and CNC operators in industrial, manufacturing, and job-shop environments are the primary installers and users of this insert grade.

Insert replacement and indexing should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the machine fully stopped and isolated from power. Use the appropriate torque wrench and clamping screw specified by the cutter body manufacturer to secure the insert — do not overtighten or use improvised tools. Inspect the insert pocket for chips, debris, or damage before seating a new insert. Follow the cutter body manufacturer guidelines for feed rate and cutting speed when commissioning a fresh insert to avoid premature edge failure.
