The SANDVIK COROMANT 5753365 is a solid carbide grooving insert designed for precision external grooving and parting operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Manufactured to SANDVIK COROMANT Top Lok series specifications, this right-hand insert carries a dual PVD coating of TiCrAlN and TiAlN for improved wear resistance and thermal stability at the cutting edge. The 1125 manufacturer grade is well suited to demanding interrupted-cut and finishing applications. With a 1.19 mm cutting width and a maximum depth of cut of 1.27 mm, this insert targets tight-tolerance groove profiles in small-diameter workpieces. Machinists and toolroom technicians install it where consistent groove geometry and long tool life are priorities.
This insert fits residential and industrial production turning applications where small groove widths and controlled depths are required. It is designed for use in Top Lok style toolholders and is compatible with insert seat size 2. The neutral rake geometry with a 10-degree rake angle makes it adaptable across a range of workpiece materials. The ISO code TLGP-2047R 1125 and catalog designation TLGP-2047R 1125 can be used to cross-reference compatible holders and accessories within the Top Lok system.
Designed for use with Top Lok series insert seat size 2 toolholders. ISO code TLGP-2047R 1125 and catalog number TLGP-2047R 1125 apply for holder cross-reference. No additional model-specific compatibility data was provided in the product input.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician with the machine spindle fully stopped and all energy sources locked out per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Seat the insert fully into the Top Lok holder pocket and secure with the clamping mechanism before test-cutting. Inspect the insert edge under magnification prior to use and discard any insert showing chipping or coating delamination. Do not exceed the stated maximum depth of cut of 1.27 mm without engineering review of the setup.
