Installation Notes

Insert seating and clamping should be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and all energy sources locked out per site LOTO procedures. Use the appropriate torx or insert-clamping key specified for the Top Lok toolholder to secure the insert without overtightening. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping surfaces for chips or debris before seating a new insert. Worn or chipped inserts should be indexed or replaced before resuming cuts to avoid toolholder damage.
