The SANDVIK COROMANT 5752834 is a solid carbide turning insert in the TCMT style, designed for precision external turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. This insert belongs to the CoroTurn 107 series and features a 60-degree triangle shape with three cutting edges, offering efficient use per insert. The CVD-applied TiCN and TiN coating provides wear resistance and thermal stability during cutting. With a 0.2528-inch length, a 5/32-inch inscribed circle, and a 0.0079-inch corner radius, it is suited for light to medium finishing passes in general turning applications. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this insert in compatible CoroTurn 107 toolholders.
This insert is rated primarily for steel (ISO material code P) and secondarily for stainless steel (ISO material code M), making it a practical choice for job shops and production environments working those material groups. The UF chipbreaker geometry is optimized for finishing operations, producing controlled chip formation at lighter depths of cut and feed rates. It is a neutral-hand insert suitable for both right- and left-hand applications depending on toolholder orientation. The ISO designation for this insert is TCMT 06 T1 02-UF 235.
Designed for use in SANDVIK COROMANT CoroTurn 107 series toolholders that accept TCMT-style inserts with a 5/32-inch inscribed circle. Verify toolholder pocket geometry and insert seat dimensions before installation.
Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key to seat the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specified torque range; do not overtighten, as this can fracture the carbide insert. Inspect the insert pocket and contact surfaces for chips or debris before seating a new insert to ensure proper indexing.
