The SANDVIK COROMANT 5752508 is a solid carbide turning insert in the TCMT style, designed for precision external turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. Part of the CoroTurn 107 series, this insert features a 60-degree triangular shape with three usable cutting edges, a 7-degree relief angle, and the KF chipbreaker geometry. The insert is uncoated (bright finish), grade H13A, with a corner radius of 0.0079 inches (0.20 mm) and a screw-type holding method. It measures 0.2528 inches in length and carries a 5/32-inch inscribed circle. This insert is installed by machinists and turning specialists working with ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials.
The CoroTurn 107 series TCMT insert is suited for both light and medium turning applications. Its primary workpiece material designation is cast iron (ISO code K), with a secondary rating for non-ferrous metals (ISO code N). The KF chipbreaker geometry is optimized for finishing cuts where controlled chip formation and surface finish quality are critical. The uncoated H13A carbide grade performs well in applications where coating buildup on the edge is undesirable, such as certain aluminum and non-ferrous machining scenarios.
Designed for use in TCMT-compatible screw-clamp toolholders within the CoroTurn 107 toolholder system. ISO insert code TCMT 06 T1 02-KF H13A can be used to identify compatible toolholder bores and seating geometry. Verify toolholder pocket size and insert seating specifications before installation.
Insert installation and indexing should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling specialist with the machine powered off and the spindle fully stopped. Use the appropriate torque wrench and insert screw specified by the toolholder manufacturer to seat the insert securely without overtightening. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping screw for wear or debris before seating a new insert. Always index or replace inserts before edge degradation leads to workpiece damage or toolholder wear.
