The SANDVIK COROMANT 5752357 is a solid carbide turning insert in the CoroTurn 107 series, designed for external turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries a PVD-applied TiAlN and AlCr2O3 dual-layer coating under manufacturer grade 1125, which is optimized for cutting steel and a broad range of secondary workpiece materials. The insert features a 60-degree triangular shape with three cutting edges, a left-hand cutting direction, and a corner radius of 0.02 mm (0.0008 inches). Insert holding is via screw clamp, and the chipbreaker designation is F. This insert is installed and replaced by machinists and CNC tooling technicians in production and job-shop environments.
This insert is suited for turning steel as the primary workpiece material, with secondary suitability for stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium. The ISO code for this insert is TCEX 06 T1 00L-F 1125. It is a left-hand insert intended for applications where tool approach and chip flow direction require left-hand geometry. Index or replace the insert at the first sign of chipping, built-up edge, or dimensional drift in the finished workpiece.
