The SANDVIK COROMANT 5752326 is a solid carbide turning insert in the CoroTurn 107 series, designed for precise external turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. This left-hand insert carries an ISO designation of TCGT 11 02 02L-K 1125 and features a 60-degree triangular shape with a 0.20 mm (0.0079 inch) corner radius. The PVD-applied TiAlN and AlCr2O3 dual coating in grade 1125 delivers wear resistance and thermal stability suited to finish and semi-finish turning. Screw-clamped mounting keeps the insert seated securely during light-to-moderate cutting passes. Machinists and CNC operators install this insert in compatible CoroTurn 107 toolholders.
This insert is intended for turning steel as its primary workpiece material, and is also rated for stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium under secondary material codes M, N, P, and S. The K chip breaker geometry is optimized for controlled chip formation during finishing cuts. Typical applications include precision diameter turning, facing, and profile work where tight tolerances and surface finish are priorities. The 1/4-inch inscribed circle and 3/32-inch insert thickness place this in the lighter-duty insert range, well suited to small-part and fine-finishing applications in job shops and production environments.
Designed for use in CoroTurn 107 series toolholders accepting TCGT-style triangular inserts with a 1/4-inch inscribed circle, screw-clamped mounting, and a 2.80 mm hole diameter. Compatible toolholders must accept left-hand insert orientation.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder pocket is clean and free of chips before seating the insert. Use the correct torque driver for the clamping screw to avoid cracking the carbide substrate — do not overtighten by hand or with an impact tool. Inspect the cutting edge and corner radius visually before each use and index or replace the insert when wear exceeds acceptable limits for the workpiece tolerance.
