The SANDVIK COROMANT 5752150 is a TCMT-style triangular turning insert from the CoroTurn 107 series, designed for external turning and profiling on CNC lathes and turning centers. It features a 60-degree included angle with a 1/4-inch inscribed circle and a 1/64-inch corner radius. The insert is manufactured from solid carbide and coated with a TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN multilayer CVD process, the 2015 grade is engineered primarily for machining stainless steel. A neutral hand orientation and UM chip breaker geometry make this insert suited for light to medium finishing passes where chip control is critical.
This insert is intended for use in screw-clamped toolholders compatible with TCMT insert geometry on turning centers handling stainless steel and other ISO M workpiece materials. It fits toolholder pockets designed for the TCMT 11 02 04 size code, also referenced by ISO code TCMT 11 02 04-UM 2015. Typical applications include external diameter turning, light facing, and contour profiling in production and job-shop environments. Installation and operation is performed by machinists and CNC turning specialists. Minimum order quantity is 10 inserts; individual package quantity is 1.
Designed to fit screw-clamped TCMT-style toolholders accepting a 1/4-inch inscribed circle triangular insert. ISO code reference: TCMT 11 02 04-UM 2015. Compatible with CoroTurn 107 series tooling. Primary workpiece material is stainless steel (ISO M).
Insert installation should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine fully powered down and spindle locked. Seat the insert fully into the toolholder pocket before engaging the clamping screw, and verify the cutting edge is correctly oriented before operation. Inspect the insert seat for chips or debris before each index. Follow the toolholder manufacturer torque specifications for the clamping screw as these are not defined by the insert specification.
