The SANDVIK COROMANT 5752149 is a solid carbide turning insert in the TCGT 11 02 08-UM 1125 designation, part of the CoroTurn 107 series. It features a 60-degree triangular shape with a neutral hand orientation and a 1/32 inch (0.0313 inch) corner radius. The insert is coated with TiAlN and AlCr2O3 via a PVD process, making it well suited for finishing and semi-finishing operations on steel and a range of secondary workpiece materials. Insert indexing and replacement should be performed with the machine in a full stop and all power isolated from the spindle. Inspect the toolholder pocket for chips or wear before seating a new insert. This work is typically performed by a CNC machinist or toolroom technician following shop floor safety procedures.
