Product Description

The SANDVIK COROMANT 5752125 is a solid carbide, uncoated turning insert in the CoroTurn 107 series, designed for precision turning of hard materials. Carrying the ISO designation TCGW110304S01020F 7025, this insert features a 60-degree triangular shape with a TCGW style, a 7-degree relief angle, and a 0.0156-inch (0.40 mm) corner radius. The grade 7025 carbide substrate delivers the hardness and wear resistance required when cutting hardened steels and other difficult workpiece materials. Installation is performed by licensed machinists and CNC operators working in turning centers and lathes where tight tolerances and consistent edge geometry are critical.

This insert is suited for finishing and semi-finishing operations on hard materials, classified under primary workpiece material code H. The CoroTurn 107 series is engineered for internal and external turning with screw-clamping insert holding. The W chip breaker geometry is optimized for controlled chip formation in demanding cuts. The neutral hand orientation makes it adaptable across a range of tool holders that accept the TCGW form factor. Typical applications include hardened component turning in precision machining environments across aerospace, automotive, and general industrial production.

Key Features

  • Solid carbide grade 7025 substrate — engineered for cutting hard workpiece materials (Material Code H)
  • Bright/uncoated finish — preserves edge sharpness and suits applications where coating interaction with the workpiece is undesirable
  • TCGW insert style with W chip breaker for controlled chip formation during hard-material turning
  • 60-degree triangular shape provides 3 usable cutting edges, reducing per-edge tooling cost
  • Screw-clamping insert holding method for secure, repeatable seating in CoroTurn 107 compatible tool holders
  • Neutral hand orientation — compatible with both right-hand and left-hand turning setups

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style replacement insert for CoroTurn 107 series tool holders that accept the TCGW insert style with screw-clamping holding method and a 0.1102-inch (2.80 mm) hole diameter.

Installation Notes

This insert is installed by qualified machinists using the appropriate torx or hex key for the clamping screw specified by the tool holder manufacturer. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping screw for wear or debris before seating the new insert. Do not exceed the tool holder manufacturer's recommended clamping torque for the screw size used.
