The SANDVIK COROMANT 5752077 is a solid carbide turning insert in the TCGT style, designed for precision external turning operations on stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. Part of the CoroTurn 107 series, this left-hand insert features a 60-degree triangular shape with three cutting edges. The TiAlN and AlCr2O3 dual coating is applied via a PVD process, providing heat and wear resistance suited to demanding materials. The insert measures 9.37 mm (0.3689 inches) in length with a 7/32-inch inscribed circle and a 1/64-inch corner radius. It is screw-held and carries a K chip breaker geometry for controlled chip formation at moderate depths of cut.
This insert is intended for use in CNC turning centers and lathes where tight tolerances and surface finish are critical. The TCGT insert style with clearance code C and tolerance code G makes it well suited to finishing and semi-finishing passes on difficult-to-machine materials including austenitic stainless steels, nickel-base superalloys, and titanium alloys. It is installed and managed by machinists and CNC tool setters in production or job-shop environments. The ISO code for this insert is TCGT 09 02 04L-K 1115. Minimum order quantity is 10 pieces.
Designed for use in SANDVIK COROMANT CoroTurn 107 series toolholders that accept TCGT-style screw-clamped inserts with a 7/32-inch inscribed circle. Primary workpiece material code M (stainless steel) and secondary material code S (superalloy and titanium) define the intended application range.
Insert replacement and indexing should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tool setter with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a locked-out state. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key as specified by the toolholder manufacturer to secure the clamping screw. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping screw for wear or debris before seating the new insert. Do not exceed the maximum depth of cut rating for this insert geometry.
