The SANDVIK COROMANT 5751098 is a solid carbide, uncoated square milling insert in the SPMT series, designed for indexable face and shoulder milling operations. Manufactured to grade H13A with a bright uncoated finish, this insert carries the ANSI designation SPMT432-WH H13A and ISO designation SPMT 12 04 08-WH H13A. It features a positive rake geometry with an 11-degree relief angle, a 0.80 mm corner radius, and 4 cutting edges per insert, making it a cost-effective option for high-volume milling applications. The WH chip breaker geometry is optimized for light to medium cuts in the material groups it targets. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling technicians are the primary installers of this insert.
This insert is suited for milling cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and superalloys including titanium, corresponding to ISO material groups K, N, and S. Its solid carbide construction and H13A grade perform well in dry or minimally lubricated cutting conditions common in precision machining shops and production environments. The SPMT432-WH H13A is compatible with the R215.64 and RA215.64 cutter series from Sandvik Coromant. It is a single-sided, neutral-hand insert held in place by a screw, fitting standard SPMT-style pockets with a 0.5000-inch inscribed circle and 0.1732-inch hole diameter. The maximum depth of cut reaches 0.4685 inches.

Insert installation and indexing should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician with the spindle locked and machine power isolated. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key as specified by the cutter body manufacturer when tightening the clamp screw — do not overtighten or use impact tools on insert screws. Inspect the insert pocket seat and screw threads for wear or debris before seating a new insert. Always verify runout and tool projection after indexing before resuming cuts.
