The SANDVIK COROMANT 5750294 is an SNMG432-QM 1105 grade solid carbide turning insert designed for external and internal turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Coated with TiAlN via a PVD process, this insert delivers wear resistance and thermal stability when cutting steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. The QM chip breaker geometry controls chip evacuation across a wide range of cutting conditions. With a 90-degree square shape, neutral hand orientation, and a 0.0313-inch corner radius, this insert is suited for medium to finishing passes where dimensional accuracy and surface finish are priorities. Licensed machinists and CNC turning specialists are the primary installers.
This insert fits toolholders designed for SNMG-style indexable inserts and is part of the T-Max P series, which targets steel and difficult-to-machine materials in production turning environments. Primary workpiece material is steel, with secondary suitability for stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. Typical applications include shaft turning, facing, and contour work on horizontal and vertical CNC turning centers in both job shop and production floor settings. The eight available cutting edges per insert support cost-effective use over extended production runs. Minimum order quantity is 10 inserts.

Insert indexing and replacement should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician with the machine in a full stop and lockout state. Inspect the toolholder seat and clamp for wear or debris before installing a new insert, as a damaged seat can cause premature edge failure.
