The SANDVIK COROMANT 5745871 is a solid carbide milling insert designed for high-performance face and shoulder milling operations. Carrying the ANSI/ISO designation R390-11 T3 16E-KM H13A, this insert fits the R390 cutter series and is manufactured in the H13A uncoated grade. It measures 11.00 mm wide and 3.97 mm thick, with a 1.60 mm corner radius and a positive rake angle of 25 degrees. The KM chip breaker geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation during interrupted and continuous cuts. This insert is installed by machinists and tool-room technicians working on CNC milling centers and manual mills.

This insert is suited for single-sided, right-hand cutting applications across a range of workpiece materials including cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and superalloys and titanium. Installation Notes

Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or replacing inserts. Inspect the insert pocket seat for chips or debris before seating the new insert to ensure proper contact and runout.
