The SANDVIK COROMANT 5745652 is a solid carbide, uncoated milling insert in the R390 series, designed for shoulder milling and face milling operations. Manufactured to the H13A grade, this insert carries an ANSI and ISO designation of R390-11 T3 08E-NL H13A and features a parallelogram shape with a positive rake geometry. The inscribed circle measures 6.80 mm, thickness is 3.59 mm, and the corner radius is 0.80 mm. With two cutting edges and a right-hand orientation, it delivers consistent chip control through the NL chip breaker. Licensed machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments install this insert in compatible milling toolholders.
This insert is suited for milling non-ferrous metals, as indicated by material grade designations K20, N15, and S20. The uncoated bright finish makes it well matched to aluminum, copper alloys, and other non-ferrous workpiece materials where coated carbide can cause built-up edge. Maximum depth of cut reaches 10.00 mm, supporting both roughing and semi-finishing passes. The insert is secured via a screw-holding method, which is standard practice in indexable milling systems. It fits cutter series M-32 and R390 toolholders and is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
Compatible with R390 and M-32 cutter series toolholders. ANSI and ISO code R390-11 T3 08E-NL H13A confirms fitment to R390-series milling bodies accepting size 11 inserts with screw retention.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key as specified by the toolholder manufacturer to secure the insert screw — do not overtighten by estimation. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for debris or damage before seating a new insert to ensure proper tool geometry.
