The grade 4225 carbide substrate is finished with an MTCVD-applied TiCN/Al2O3/TiN multilayer coating, which provides thermal resistance and wear protection during high-speed parting cuts on steel and cast iron. A 5-degree right-hand lead angle and 7-degree relief angle define the cutting geometry, while a 0.30 mm corner radius reduces edge stress at the start of cut.
