The SANDVIK COROMANT 5739459 is an indexable copy face mill from the CoroMill 300 series, designed for high-performance copy milling operations on CNC machining centers. It accepts seven R300-1340 screw-lock inserts and delivers a maximum depth of cut of 0.248 inches (6.30 mm). The cutter style is RA300 with a right-hand cutting direction and through-coolant capability, making it well suited for demanding material removal on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. With a nominal cutting diameter of 2.5 inches and a maximum cutting diameter of 3.0 inches, this body handles moderate to large facing and profiling passes. The 1-inch arbor hole provides a solid, repeatable mount on standard horizontal or vertical spindle setups. Installation and operation are handled by trained machinists and CNC tooling specialists.
This copy face mill is built for use in production and job-shop environments where contouring, ramping, and copy milling operations are required. The CoroMill 300 platform is widely used in general engineering applications involving steel, cast iron, and aluminum alloy components. The through-coolant design supports extended insert life in continuous or interrupted cutting conditions. The screw-insert holding method ensures positive insert location and fast changeovers, minimizing machine downtime during insert indexing.
Compatible insert size code is R300-1340. The ISO designation RA300-076R25-13H identifies the specific body geometry. Designed for use with CoroMill 300 series inserts per the complete insert compatibility reference R300-1340.
This cutter body is installed and serviced by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Before mounting or indexing inserts, ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped, locked out, and all energy is isolated per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Verify the arbor and keyway are clean and free of burrs before seating the body. Use the manufacturer-specified torque driver for insert screws to avoid over-tightening or stripping the screw threads.
