The SANDVIK COROMANT 5737637 is a solid carbide cutoff insert designed for parting and grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Manufactured to the N151.2 insert style with a 6.00 mm (0.2362 inch) cutting width, this insert seats in T-Max Q-Cut toolholders and is retained by a clamp-style holding method. The 1125 manufacturer grade features a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process, delivering heat resistance and edge durability in demanding turning applications. With a neutral lead angle and neutral hand orientation, it is suited for straight plunge cutoff work. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this insert as a direct replacement in compatible T-Max Q-Cut systems.
This insert is appropriate for precision parting and grooving tasks in both production and job-shop turning environments. The 4E chipbreaker geometry promotes controlled chip formation during cutoff cycles, reducing chip packing in the groove. With a 0.40 mm corner radius and a 7-degree relief angle, it provides clearance and edge stability on a range of workpiece materials. It is sized for the 60 insert seat and carries an overall length of 8.37 mm (0.3295 inch). Typical users include CNC machinists and toolroom technicians working on precision-turned components.
Designed for use with SANDVIK COROMANT T-Max Q-Cut toolholders accepting the N151.2 insert style with a size 60 insert seat. Verify toolholder compatibility with the N151.2-600-4E 1125 insert specification before installation.
Insert installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the toolholder manufacturer's clamping torque and seating procedures. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping components for wear or debris before seating the new insert. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut or feed rate for the grade and chipbreaker geometry.
