The SANDVIK COROMANT 5736444 is a lock pin designed for indexable turning tool systems. It secures the insert clamp assembly in T-Max P series turning toolholders, maintaining precise insert positioning during cutting operations. The pin is machined to MN-34L industry standard geometry, with a 3/8 inch inscribed circle specification, a 5/64 inch hex socket drive, and a 10-32 thread. Overall length is 0.48 inches. This type of hardware is installed and replaced by machinists and CNC toolroom technicians as part of routine toolholder maintenance and insert changeover procedures.
This lock pin fits T-Max P series indexable turning toolholders and is compatible with MN-34L clamps. It is suited for production turning applications in both manual and CNC lathe environments. When a lock pin shows wear, thread damage, or fails to seat the clamp firmly, it must be replaced promptly to maintain insert stability and dimensional accuracy of the machined part. This pin is supplied as an individual replacement component for that purpose.
Designed for use with SANDVIK COROMANT T-Max P series indexable turning toolholders. Compatible with MN-34L clamps per the MN-34L industry standard number. Verify clamp and toolholder series before ordering.
Installation and replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Disengage the machine and remove all energy sources before servicing the toolholder. Use a calibrated 5/64 inch hex key to seat the lock pin; do not overtighten, as thread damage to the toolholder body is difficult to repair. Inspect the clamp pocket and mating threads for debris or damage before installing the replacement pin.
