The SANDVIK COROMANT 5735537 is a solid carbide indexable boring bar in the CoroCut MB series, designed for internal turning and boring operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. The bar features a 0.5 inch (12.70 mm) minimum bore diameter and a 0.5 inch (12.70 mm) shank diameter, with an overall length of 3.937 inches (100 mm). It accepts MB-07 inserts, which are sold separately. Coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation and tool life in demanding bore finishing and profiling applications. A neutral cut geometry makes it suitable for both left- and right-hand setups depending on insert orientation.

This boring bar is intended for precision internal machining in metalworking applications, including finish boring, grooving, and profiling of small-diameter bores. Its compact geometry and solid carbide construction make it well suited for tight-tolerance work in steel, stainless, cast iron, and non-ferrous alloys. Compatibility

Designed for use with MB-07 series indexable inserts within the SANDVIK COROMANT CoroCut MB modular boring system. Insert is not included.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians on CNC or manual turning equipment. The machine spindle and turret must be fully stopped and the machine powered down before mounting or removing the boring bar. Confirm shank diameter compatibility with the toolholder or turret bore before clamping. Follow the toolholder manufacturer torque and clamping recommendations when securing the bar, and verify insert seating and screw torque per the insert manufacturer guidelines before cutting.
